Electrical PAT Testing
Portable Appliance Testing or PAT testing is a legal requirement., The Electricity at work act 1989, which came into force on the 1st April 1990 states the need to maintain a regular program of inspection and testing for all electrical equipment and systems.
Make sure all your testing is upto date and you have the correct documentation, without it your insurance may be invalid. A insurance policy is often worded "you must comply with all relevant legislation for your policy to remain vaild". Insurance Companies and the Health and Safety Executive accept PAT testing as compliance with The Electricity at work act 1989. As long as all items tested have been labelled, logged and the reports contain the appropriate test results.
